15th Netzwerk Kinderschutz Conference: Nearly 200 Professionals Gather to Discuss Child Protection Strategies

Nearly 200 professionals gathered in Neuwied for the 15th network conference of the Netzwerk Kinderschutz. The event, themed around effective handling of child protection situations, offered a platform for fresh ideas and collaborative strategies.

Anke Wagner from the Institute for Constructive Psychology shared insights on systemic stress regulation and the significance of early bonding experiences. Professionals discussed how to support children's social-emotional development while maintaining their own resilience. The conference highlighted the importance of secure attachments, clear structures, and believing adults for children's well-being.

Participants explored how to tackle challenges such as aggression, withdrawal, or overload in children. They recognised the potential of socially-emotionally derailed children and young people with the right support. Mayor Peter Jung commended the professionals' dedication and stressed the need for good exchange among stakeholders.
