39 New Recruits Join German Customs' Middle Service Training
The German Customs Administration (CUSTOMS) has welcomed 39 new recruits at the Main Customs Office Bielefeld, marking the start of their middle service training. This two-year program leads to the professional title of tax administrator and offers a secure job with diverse tasks, contributing to tax revenues, consumer protection, and administrative digitization.
The new recruits, including IT newcomers, have begun a dual study of administrative informatics. This three-year program, along with the middle service training, concludes with a bachelor's degree. The theoretical parts of the training are completed at specific schools, while practical phases occur in various customs offices and directorates.
Upon completion, young customs officers can expect employment in various areas. Administrative informatics specialists often prefer roles in digital forensics and digitization. However, there is no specific information on which positions in the General Customs Directorate are preferred for graduates of the dual program in administrative informatics.
The CUSTOMS offers a secure career path with exciting tasks. The middle service training lasts two years, and the dual study program in administrative informatics lasts three years.
