Academic Year Passes Set for 2025-2026 School Term

The Landshut district has announced significant changes to the student travel card system for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year. Here's what you need to know:

Starting from the beginning of the 2025/2026 school year, students will receive a Germany ticket with their cards, provided the conditions are met. This benefit will last until the end of the year, on December 31, 2025.

The student travel cards will be in the form of plastic chip cards, and they will be issued by the Munich Transport Association (MVV). For the 2025/2026 school year, these cards will be delivered directly to the registered home address of students in the Landshut district.

If you lose your student travel card, you should report it to the student transportation department of the Landshut district. The lost card will be blocked upon reporting. A replacement card will be sent directly to your home address, for a fee of 15.00 Euro.

From January 1, 2026, the switch to a 365-Euro ticket will automatically occur with the student travel cards, provided the conditions are met. Further information on this switch will be provided in due course.

For any queries or further information, you can contact the Landshut district at [email protected] or call 0871 408-2214, -2208.

It's important to note that the student travel cards will not be distributed through schools for the 2025/2026 school year. A new student travel card will be issued after a processing time of approximately 14 days.

We hope this information helps you prepare for the upcoming changes to the student travel card system in the Landshut district. Stay tuned for more updates on the switch to the 365-Euro ticket.
