Prof. Archana Shukla Takes the Helm at Hari Shankar Singhania School of Business
Prof. Archana Shukla, an alumna of IIT Kanpur with a PhD in Psychology, has been appointed as the new Director of the Hari Shankar Singhania School of Business (HSB) at JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU), Jaipur, effective August 1, 2025. She succeeds Prof. Gregory Dunn.
With over three decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership, Prof. Shukla specializes in organizational behaviour and knowledge management. Her impressive career includes serving as the Director of IIM Lucknow for six years and as Dean of the IIM Lucknow Noida Campus for over three years. Additionally, she was the first Chairperson of the Dr. Ishwar Dayal Chair for Futuristic Issues in the Behavioral Sciences from 2015 to 2017.
Prof. Shukla's achievements extend to designing and delivering Management Development Programmes on leadership, strategic thinking, team building, and managerial effectiveness. She has also been involved in process consulting for culture building, coaching, mentoring, and assessment centres for prominent organizations such as KPMG, Mahindra & Mahindra, Samsung, Reckitt Benckiser, Johnson & Johnson, and the GMR Group.
At HSB, Prof. Shukla will lead the flagship two-year UGC-accredited residential MBA programme, which offers specialisations in digital product management, artificial intelligence and business analytics, and entrepreneurship and organizational foresight.
The appointment of Prof. Shukla is seen as a major step to further HSB’s mission of blending academic rigor with real-world relevance and nurturing global business leaders ready for future challenges.
HSB, founded in 2024 by the JK Organisation, a $4Bn conglomerate, under the aegis of JK Lakshmipat University (JKLU), boasts a 30-acre campus in Jaipur and approximately 1000 students across its UG Programmes in Computer Sciences, Design, and Business.
