Australian Business Schools Shine in Global Rankings
Australian business schools have made a strong showing in the global rankings, with Melbourne Business School leading the pack in Thought Leadership and Alumni Outcomes. Six Australian programs are among the top 50 in their fields.
Melbourne Business School has secured the 13th spot globally for Thought Leadership and 29th for Alumni Outcomes. It is also the top full-time MBA provider in Australia, ranked 31st worldwide. The University of Sydney Business School follows closely, ranked 44th globally. Meanwhile, AGSM @ UNSW is the top-ranked Online MBA program in Australia, taking the 4th spot worldwide.
Australia's business schools shine in diversity and reputation. UNSW's AGSM, ranked 32nd globally, excels in Diversity, sharing the 4th position worldwide. The University of Sydney, Melbourne Business School, and Macquarie Business School are also among the top 50 in their respective programs. Six Australian master's programs feature in the global top 50, demonstrating the country's competitive edge in business education.
While Australian business schools excel in Thought Leadership, Alumni Outcomes, and diversity, they lag behind European peers in return on investment. Despite this, Melbourne Business School and AGSM @ UNSW lead the way in full-time and online MBA programs respectively, with six Australian programs making the global top 50. The WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany tops the 2026 Global MBA rankings, offering excellent value for money and employability.
