Belarus' Sixth School Day Contest Heats Up With 21 Creative Projects

The final stage of the IX Republican contest for the best project on organizing the sixth school day is underway in Minsk. Tatiana Osmolovskaya, a consultant from the Ministry of Education, anticipates fierce competition among the 21 creative projects shortlisted from across Belarus.

The contest aims to boost the organization of work in general and additional education institutions during the sixth school day. Christina Primakova-Pinchuk's project, 'We are Belarusians', stands out with its five diverse directions: family interaction, exploration of the Great Patriotic War, excursions, local tours, and delving into Belarusian culture.

Zinaida Sholomitskaya's project, 'Quest-excursion: Travel around Belarus - Educate a Patriot', focuses on organizing quest-excursions and trips, and fostering interaction between parents and public organizations. The Ministry of Education is closely monitoring this project, which promises to open new avenues for communication between parents and educators, and joint leisure activities for children and parents.

Following the competition, a roundtable discussion titled 'Current Aspects of Improving the Organizational and Content-Related Filling of the Sixth School Day' will be held. The contest hopes to implement innovations, solve pedagogical tasks, enhance educational potential, and optimize forms and methods of education based on modern approaches and scientific achievements.

With 21 creative projects from across Belarus, including three projects from each region, the IX Republican contest is set to drive innovation and improvement in the organization of the sixth school day. The projects, such as 'We are Belarusians' and 'Quest-excursion: Travel around Belarus - Educate a Patriot', showcase the commitment to enhancing educational experiences for Belarusian students.
