Princeton University Blog Team Kicks Off New Academic Year
As the new academic year begins at Princeton University, the blog team is gearing up for an exciting year of sharing insights and experiences. The team, composed of four returning correspondents and four new members, is ready to publish their first posts next week.
Among the new faces is Andrea Reino, a junior born and raised in New York with a family originating from Spain. Andrea is not only a PUMP mentor and a Petey Greene tutor but also a double-bass player in the Princeton University Orchestra. She will be serving as the Social Sciences Correspondent.
Saira Reyes, a sophomore from Northern New Jersey, joins the team as the Engineering Correspondent. Saira plans to concentrate in chemical and biological engineering. Outside of academics, Saira is involved in various activities, including being a member of the Princeton University Orchestra as a violinist.
Nanako Shirai, a sophomore from New Hampshire, with past residences in Pennsylvania and South Carolina, is the Natural Sciences Correspondent. Nanako is also a violinist in the Princeton University Orchestra and holds several leadership roles on campus. She is the treasurer for the Japanese Student Association, an officer for the TEDx division of Princeton Social Innovation, and works at the Princeton Writing Center as a fellow.
Ellie Breitfeld, the Chief Correspondent, hails from Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Ellie is involved in numerous campus activities, including Highsteppers, Orange Key, Club Swim, and the Student Advisory Board for the Art Museum. Ellie also has a passion for the arts, particularly oil painting and charcoal drawing.
The blog team will share what they have been up to and offer advice throughout the year. Ellie, as the Chief Correspondent, will provide a comprehensive overview of the university's happenings. Saira, Andrea, and Nanako will focus on engineering, social sciences, and natural sciences, respectively.
