City of Nordhorn's Mayor Celebrates and Commends Former Training Participants
In the heart of Nordhorn, a celebratory breakfast was held, bringing together city officials and apprentices who had recently completed their training. The event, while not detailed, was a significant occasion marking the successful completion of the young talents' apprenticeships.
Mayor Thomas Berling extended an invitation to seven former apprentices, including Christina Lambers, Administrative Assistant, Simon Palmen, Construction Designer, Belana Voet, Administrative Assistant, Maike Klassen, Trainee for Higher Service, and Thomas Berling and Maris Braakmann, Logistics Specialist, who were among the attendees.
The breakfast was an opportunity for the city's leaders to engage with the apprentices and discuss their current areas of employment within Nordhorn. Mayor Berling also inquired about the course of their training and the exams they had passed to graduate.
The apprenticeships offered by the city covered various fields, such as administrative professions, event management, logistics, media and information services, construction design, IT, and administrative assistant and trainee for the higher service. Training supervisors Kristin Koel and Lea Weidner were present at the event, ensuring a smooth flow of conversations and discussions. However, the apprentices were not identified by name during the gathering.
Joining the festivities were Marleen Kleinert, Specialist for Media and Information Services, and Xenia Graef, Event Manager, who also shared in the celebration of the young talents' achievements.
It is worth noting that while the apprenticeships for young talents are currently offered in Nordhorn, there are also opportunities in Berlin. For instance, the Deutsch-Französische Radiowerkstatt in Berlin, targeting young journalists under 31 years, has an application deadline in December 2025.
The application deadline for an apprenticeship with the city of Nordhorn is September 29, 2025. Kim Borzutzky, Trainee for Higher Service, Melina Lorej, IT Specialist, and Robin Bleumer, Construction Designer, were among those who were unable to attend the breakfast due to other commitments.
This celebratory breakfast was more than just a gathering; it was a testament to the city's commitment to nurturing and supporting young talent, and a symbol of the promising future that lies ahead for these apprentices.
