Deputy Minister Proposes AI-Based Animal ID System at Baltic Veterinary Forum
The 20th Baltic Forum on Veterinary Medicine and Food Safety, held in St. Petersburg, brought together around 800 leading specialists. Among them was Andrei Belykh, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Consumer Market of the Republic of Komi, who proposed innovative solutions.
Belykh participated in various discussions and sessions at the forum. He proposed adapting AI-based products to regional conditions, aiming to enhance the veterinary service. Notably, he suggested implementing a system for animal identification using photo and video materials. This proposal gained traction, especially for reindeer, a significant species in the Republic of Komi.
Participants also visited a local cat shelter to learn about responsible animal treatment practices, demonstrating the forum's commitment to holistic animal welfare.
The 20th Baltic Forum on Veterinary Medicine and Food Safety concluded with a proposal for an innovative animal identification system using photo and video materials.
