DFH Launches €2,000 Solidarity Prize for Socially Relevant Dissertations
The Deutsch-Französische Hochschule (DFH) has launched a new 2,000 € endowed Dissertation Prize, the Solidarity Prize, in collaboration with the law firm Ellipse Avocats Lyon. The prize, signed into existence on March 21, 2023, in the presence of the Consul General Jessica Engel, aims to honor dissertations that tackle socially relevant topics and foster cooperation between Germany and France.
The Solidarity Prize complements existing DFH dissertation prizes such as the 'Europe', 'Innovation', 'Interculturality', 'Economy', and 'Price of Excellence'. It is endowed with 2,000 € and is jointly sponsored by the DFH and Ellipse Avocats Lyon, which specializes in labor and sports law and was founded in 2011.
The signing ceremony took place at the Consulate General of Lyon. Philippe Gréçiano, Vice-President of the DFH, and Benoît Dumollard, a partner of Ellipse Avocats, signed the official cooperation agreement. Through this collaboration, the DFH gains a new premium sponsor, Ellipse Avocats, an internationally active law firm based in France.
The Solidarity Prize, with its focus on socially relevant topics, strengthens the close cooperation between Germany and France. It is a testament to the DFH's commitment to fostering academic excellence and cross-cultural understanding. The prize's endowment and sponsorship by Ellipse Avocats Lyon ensure its significant impact on the academic landscape.
