District Reveals Student Transport Reimbursement Details for 2024/2025

The district has announced details for student transport reimbursement for the calendar 2024/2025 school year. Information can be found on the district's homepage. Families may be exempt from the reasonable share based on certain criteria.

The reasonable share of travel costs is €320 for one schoolchild and €490 for two eligible schoolchildren per school year. Families receiving assistance for living expenses, unemployment benefit, or child benefit for at least three children are exempt. A proof of use is required for each month of use for pro-rata reimbursement of Germany tickets.

Applications for the calendar 2024/2025 school year must be submitted by October 31, 2025. Late applications will not be considered. Children exempt from maintenance obligations can generally be provided with a free travel pass upon application. Travel costs can only be reimbursed upon presentation of tickets or payment receipts.

For questions about the travel cost subsidy application, contact the respective Landratsamt (district office) handling school transportation costs or the department for schools, sports and culture at '[email protected]' or 06021/394-2340. Forms are available at school secretariats.
