DVB and SachsenEnergie are in search of young individuals
On September 20, two exciting Career Days are taking place in Dresden, offering attendees the opportunity to gain practical insights into various careers in public transportation and energy sectors. The events, hosted at DVB's Gruna Depot and Saxony Energy's training center, are open to all and do not require registration.
At DVB's Gruna Depot, activities include a "Job Speed Dating" with trainers, testing the tram simulator, changing tires, and checking brakes. Trainers, apprentices, and employees from various departments will be on hand to answer questions about training, entry, and development opportunities at DVB during the Career Day. Additionally, attendees can engage in talks with other students and apprentices.
Public transportation to the DVB event is available at the Tiergartenstraße stop, with bus lines 61, 63, and 85.
Meanwhile, Saxony Energy's training center on Hahnebergstraße 4 is offering a range of activities, including a ride in a lift truck, virtual welding, and job application training. Apprentices will demonstrate "climbing a wooden pole," and practical insights about electrical outlets, household connection boxes, wiring, industrial plants, PV systems, and virtual welding will be provided. Rides in a lift truck are offered to explore the training center from a bird's eye view during the Career Day.
The Career Day at Saxony Energy's training center takes place from 10 am to 2 pm, while the DVB event takes place at the Gruna Depot between 10 am and 4 pm.
Saxony Energy offers apprenticeships for mechanical engineer for systems, electrical systems installer, electronics technician for operating technology, IT specialist in application development and system integration, environmental technologist for water supply, industrial clerk, mechatronics technician, as well as dual study programs in energy and building technology, electrical engineering, business informatics, and information technology. Dresden Public Transport offers apprenticeships such as transit operation specialist, mechatronics technician, industrial mechanic, track layer, automotive mechatronics technician, and professional driver.
