Energy Exhibition: Aurora Science and Technology Spectacle 2025

The Otago Science and Technology Fair 2025 is set to illuminate the future of science and technology, showcasing the creative talents of Otago's youth. Held at the Tūhura Otago Community Trust Science Centre within the Otago Museum, located at 419 Great King Street, Dunedin [1][3], this exciting event promises to bring science to life for students in an engaging and interactive way.

From August 5th to August 9th, 2025, over 280 inventive entries from Year 7-13 students will be on display, demonstrating bold ideas and creative experiments from the next generation of scientists, engineers, and inventors [2]. Some of the intriguing projects on show include "Science project measures noise levels", "Kindling cracker", and "Oobleck versus flubber" [4].

Visitors are encouraged to explore the fair's offerings and gather inspiration from the Science fair investigations Pinterest board. To help students prepare for their presentations, resources such as the article "Winning ways: presenting scientific data" and the recorded PLD webinar titled "Flipping science fairs" are available [6][7].

For those interested in learning more about the fair, its schedule, and participating projects, the official Otago Museum website provides all the necessary information [1][3]. This event, sponsored by organizations like NIWA (now part of Earth Sciences New Zealand), offers an opportunity to witness the innovative work of young students in the fields of science, engineering, and technology. Don't miss out on this chance to be inspired by the bright minds of Otago's youth!
