The ASI Show Orlando 2009, held at the Orange County Convention Center from January 3-5, marked the industry's first national news event of the year and the largest on the East Coast. With over 5,200 attendees, the event was equivalent to last year's attendance, setting the pace for an optimistic year.

The show featured 800 suppliers, offering numerous enhancements that provided additional benefits for distributors and suppliers. The event was also home to over 85 education workshops, networking events, and a keynote by Tony Robbins.

Timothy M. Andrews, president of the ASI Show, stated that the show was successful and would likely position suppliers and distributors for a strong performance in 2009. The keynote lecture series was sponsored and led by Rich Bradley, a prominent figure in the mystery shopping industry and past President of MSPA North America.

Tony Robbins, a motivational speaker who has worked with successful leaders in entertainment, sports, business, and politics, conducted a two-hour business and personal coaching session at the ASI Show Orlando. The session was attended by 1,200 people, and much of it was spent with distributors and suppliers interacting with him.

The ASI Show Orlando 2009 also introduced new colors, designs, and badges for the Orlando news and the five ASI shows in 2009. Over 70% of education offerings were new, including a "distributor success" track and a "supplier clinics" program.

The event was not just about business, though. The ASI 2009 Fashion Show featured hot new looks in corporate casual apparel from top industry suppliers. Additionally, a catalog, Advantages New Product Digest, showcased the hottest items for 2009 from the Advantages products showcase.

The Gala Celebration at Universal Studios was sponsored by SnugZ USA, and the keynote by Tony Robbins was sponsored by Broder Bros. Co. The Inaugural Million-Dollar Sales Summit was specifically created for distributor account executives who sell $1 million dollars or more annually.

Attendees of the ASI Show Orlando expressed optimism about the show and the year ahead. With pre-registrations for the next ASI Show in Dallas in February continuing to increase, it seems that the optimism is well-founded. The ASI Show Orlando 2009 was a testament to the industry's resilience and its commitment to growth and innovation. Upgraded technology and self-service kiosks streamlined registration for suppliers and distributors, ensuring a smooth and efficient news experience for all.
