Explore Craftsmanship & Sustainability at Junior University's Autumn Events
Youngsters in the region are invited to explore the world of craftsmanship and sustainability this autumn. The Junior University's research night and the 'My Activity Craftsmanship' project week offer hands-on activities for those aged 11 and above.
Kicking off the events is the research night on October 10, starting at 6 PM. The theme is 'Sustainability', with interactive stations providing a science experience. Participants can earn stamps and enter a prize draw by completing activities. The foyer will serve non-alcoholic cocktails, pizza, and nachos as a central meeting point.
The following week, from October 20 to 24, young people can delve into craft professions during the 'My Activity Craftsmanship' project week. Under professional guidance, they can saw, hammer, solder, and create. The aim is to give young people practical insights into these professions. The project week is sponsored by the Deutsche Postcode-Lottery and is free to attend, with registration available on the Junior University's homepage.
Both events offer young people the chance to learn and engage in practical activities. The Junior University collaborates with local businesses to make these opportunities possible, with the 'My Activity Craftsmanship' project week providing a unique insight into craft professions.
