Florida: Youth Commemorating Seminary Graduation over Weekend 6-8-25

Six little rugrats scampered off to Florida while I stayed home, tending to the green haven, dusting off the yard, and taking care of my backyard poultry squad. In between all that, I tried to tackle my business like the boss babe I am. Once I was drained from work, I'd tackle Tilly's mud kitchen project, which was a real hoot!
Morning hours were dedicated to gardening—watering, bug squashing, weeding, and pruning around the kiwi plants. Gotta keep the garden thriving! Podcasts provided the perfect soundtrack as I burrowed my hands in the earth. The peppers and peas looked lush, and I could almost hear them growing!
Lunchtime was all about whipping up a healthy salad using fresh produce direct from the garden. Lettuce, arugula, spinach, purple lettuce, radish—they were the stars of the show, joined by hard-boiled duck eggs, black beans, grilled chicken strips, carrots, and a dollop of avocado. If only I had some raw milk to complete this delicious masterpiece! Now, about those green walnuts I spent a couple hours picking, while editing a video...they filled up two big five-gallon buckets!
Playing with the mud kitchen was a blast! Then one day, I stumbled upon a chicken in the oven – talk about a surprise visitor!
The kids had a smashing time in Florida, hanging out at Grandma and Peepaw's house, taking a dip at the beach, and even going for a ride in Uncle Devon's flashy Tesla. They got to paint his kitchen – hopefully, not with mud! They connected with their cousins, took a break from chores, and enjoyed great road trips both there and back. It was a true blessing!

Apparently, Brainy Devon escorted the kids to the church so Kaitlyn could practice tickling the ivories on the organ. Everyone got a turn at playing the organ, and it was a musical sensation!
News reaches me that the kids even lent their talents for painting Devon and Katie's house. I only caught sight of Kaitlyn slapping colors around, so she might have taken charge of the entire project. Perhaps she even feasted on dinner with a paintbrush in her hand!
PETA drop the smackdown, as Tilly hopped aboard Uncle Devon's Tesla with two cousins. Adorable little Tilly feasted on corn on the cob with her cousin David at Grandma's house.
The kids hopped back home on Saturday, and on Sunday, we attended seminary graduation in the afternoon and evening. Thomas, my fifth child to graduate from the rigorous early-morning seminary program, earned himself a scholarship to SVU. Quite an accomplishment for such a young 'un! Proud of all of them.
