Ghana Welcomes UAE Investment in Data Centres, AI, and Blockchain

Ghana's Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation has encouraged investment in data centres, cybersecurity awareness, blockchain technology, and artificial intelligence. The country aims to establish a centralised Security Operations Centre (SOC) to coordinate cybersecurity awareness efforts across key sectors. Ghana is committed to supporting foreign investment in its digital and development sectors.

His Excellency Mohamed Bin Abdulla Al Marzooqi, Chairman of the Al Marzooqi Group, visited Ghana from 30th September to 8th October 2025 to build a business bridge between Ghana and the UAE. During his visit, he expressed interest in introducing container-based data centres, AI-driven solutions for education, and advanced cybersecurity awareness approaches in Ghana. Ghana already operates a national data centre but welcomes private entities to establish additional facilities. The Al Marzooqi Group is also exploring similar initiatives in India and Germany.

Ghana plans to use blockchain technology to digitize land records at the Lands Commission. The country's Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation encourages investment in these areas to drive digital transformation and development.

The Al Marzooqi Group is committed to supporting Ghana's development by aligning its projects with national priorities. Ghana, in turn, welcomes such investments and is taking steps to create a favourable environment for digital growth and innovation.
