Welcome to the revamped Student Life Blog, brought to you by the dynamic minds of Georgetown students! In this edition, we delve into what makes our college experience so extraordinary – from outstanding resources that fuel our personal growth to the diverse, vibrant community that calls Georgetown home.

Meet Josh Ford (SFS'25), a senior majoring in Regional Studies of Asia in the School of Foreign Service who also picks up minors in Chinese and Art History. Originally hailing from the United Kingdom, Georgetown's unparalleled focus on internationalism in both academic and social settings has made the Hilltop feel like a second home for Josh.

This Thanksgiving season, let's take a moment to truly appreciate the treasures we've discovered on the Hilltop. As key members of the Georgetown University community, we are privileged to tap into a wealth of resources that not only enrich our intellect but also empower us to grow as individuals. From awe-inspiring faculty members who ignite our critical thinking skills to a diverse community that forges unbreakable bonds, Georgetown is truly a campus worth celebrating.

From a quiet study session in Lauinger Library to a remarkable lecture in Gaston Hall, or the chance to make a difference through the Center for Social Justice – Georgetown extends countless opportunities for learning, growth, and impact. Josh is particularly thankful for the incredible experiences he's had on campus, from guiding prospective students as a Blue and Gray tour guide to dancing with friends in Rangila and giving back through programs like New Student Orientation and SFS peer advising.
