Gymnasium No. 68 Celebrates 31 DSD I Exam Passes
Gymnasium No. 68 has celebrated another successful year of the DSD I exam, with 31 students receiving certificates. The results, announced later, mark the award of the German Language Diploma at level B1. Kamila Kalishuk and Ekaterina Schegay shared their experiences, highlighting the challenges and helpful aspects of their preparations.
The DSD I exam, held annually in March, consists of written and oral parts. Students in grades 8, 9, and 10 at Gymnasium No. 68 participate each year. Kamila Kalishuk found making model sentences daily during her preparation the most interesting part. However, her biggest challenge was overcoming self-doubt about passing the exam.
Ekaterina Schegay, on the other hand, found practicing speaking with German volunteers most beneficial. She noted the significant difference between oral and written communication between the A2 and DSD I exams. Both students advise future examinees not to underestimate themselves and to utilise free online resources for preparation. Unfortunately, specific teacher names involved in the preparation at Gymnasium No. 68 could not be found.
The official certificates for the DSD I exam will be issued in September. This year's successful candidates, totalling 31, were honoured at a ceremonial event. The exam plays a crucial role in deciding the award of the German Language Diploma at level B1. Students' experiences highlight the importance of thorough preparation and self-belief.
