Higher domestic salaries at IIM-Ahmedabad rise by 7.9%
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has released its audited placement report for the PGP 2025 batch, detailing the outcomes of the two-stage placement process: laterals and final placements.
Participating Firms and Roles
A total of 178 firms participated in the placement process, offering around 261 different roles. Consulting firms offered the maximum number of job opportunities at IIM Ahmedabad in 2025 (156). BFSI, FMCG, IT, and conglomerates also offered jobs (99, 31, 30, 22 respectively).
New recruiters at IIM Ahmedabad in 2025 included Anakin, Crisil, Haleon, and Jasper Cohn. Boston Consulting Group, Accenture Strategy, American Express, Bain & Co, and McKinsey & Company made the most offers during the final placements.
Placement Statistics
395 out of 405 PGP students at IIM-A sought placements. 11 students opted out of the process.
In the domain of domestic placements, the maximum potential registered a 96% increase from the previous year, reaching Rs 1.1 crore per annum. The median potential for PGP students in domestic placements for 2025 is Rs 34.53 lakh per annum, a 7.9% increase from the previous year.
In the international placements, only 2 students of IIM-A received offers, compared to 11 last year. The median potential for international placements in 2025 is $103,474 per annum, a 10.3% increase from the previous year. However, the maximum potential saw a drop of 23% to $103,474 per annum.
Rankings and Recognition
Eleven Indian institutes are ranked in the top 100 of the FT Masters in Management Rankings. The top salary packages at IIMs have outshone in the FT Masters in Management Rankings.
It's worth noting that the placement report does not provide specific information on which companies participated most frequently in the lateral and final placements of the 2025 batch at IIM Ahmedabad or the positions they offered.
