Highly Regarded Attorney Harish Salve Takes on New Role as Notable Professor at NLU Delhi
Prominent Indian Lawyer Harish Salve Appointed as Distinguished Professor at NLU Delhi
National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) has announced the appointment of Senior Advocate Harish Salve as a Distinguished Professor. This prestigious position recognises Salve's extensive experience and expertise in constitutional, commercial, and international law.
The invitation to join NLU Delhi as a Distinguished Professor was extended earlier this year. Salve, who currently holds the position of King's Counsel for the courts of England and Wales, has accepted the offer.
Salve served as the Solicitor General of India from 1999 to 2002, during which he represented the Government of India in numerous high-profile cases. His tenure as Solicitor General solidified his status as one of India's most eminent legal figures.

Notably, earlier this year, former Chief Justice of India, Dr Justice DY Chandrachud, was also appointed as a Distinguished Professor at NLU Delhi. This appointment underscores the university's commitment to attracting renowned legal experts to its faculty.
