"Interview preview: 'View' host criticizes Biden's popularity, stating current Democrats display reluctance towards his presence"
Chatting with Spice
Alyssa Farah Griffin, one of the hosts on feminist talk show "The View", took a jab at ex-Prez Joe Biden before siting down with him on tomorrow's episode. Sounds like she won't hold back when grilling the former Commander-in-Chief!
Griffin spoke to CNN's John Berman yesterday, stating, "This ain't no Dem eager to see ol' Joe out here right now." She pointed out that while Biden did keep the NATO alliance strong, he also presided over the shambolic Afghan withdrawal as president.
The ladies of "The View" announced last week that Biden and his better half Jill would be swinging by the set for a live, joint interview. As if that wasn't excitin' enough, Joe also sat for an interview this week with BBC, which hit the newsstands yesterday.
Griffin ain't afraid to stir things up. "Look, people are done with it. Gimme a second, folks, give Joe his props, but if I were dolin' out life advice to Joe, it'd be chill the hell out for a minute. Carter used to get some serious love after he lost, he waited his damn time."
*OOPS, BIDEN ADMITS HE SHOULDA PULLED OUT OF 2024 RACE EARLIER*
Griffin also shared her thoughts on the former Prez denying he left the race too late to block Donald Trump. She reckons his response kinda spoke for itself.
Berman raised a chuckle when he said Griffin seemed pretty enthused about chattin' with Biden on "The View" tomorrow.
Biden weighed in on foreign policy during the BBC interview, slammin' Trump, but CNN political commentator S.E. Cupp believes he's begun to lose favor with his own party.
"The message is sweet, but the messenger's a total drag. Times are tough for ol' Joe, Dem voters, reps and deep-pocketed donors have had enough of him, and he's only factorin' in at the worst possible time," Cupp griped.
*PSAKI MOVES ON UP AFTER DEFENDIN' BIDEN'S MENTAL FACULTY*
Berman also touched on Biden's response to a question about whether it would've mattered if he'd dropped out earlier. Biden replied, "Nah, we bolted at a time when we had a top-notch candidate."
"Mebbe the way Biden answered that question was an answer in itself," Berman chuckled.
Griffin agreed, nodding her head. "You bet yer butt it did, Harris had a shorter amount of time to run her campaign when most folks felt the country was headin' straight to Hell. You be the greatest candidate on the planet, Joe, and you still couldn't escape Biden's shadow. This isn't something we've seen in American politics before, neither."
