Kazakhstan's Batyrkhan Mukhtarhan Wins EO-2025, Boosting Country's Global Prestige
Kazakhstan's Batyrkhan Mukhtarhan has made history by winning the International Economics Olympiad (EO-2025) in Greece. The 11th-grader from NIS in the capital triumphed over competitors from around the world, boosting his country's prestige in the global educational arena.
Mukhtarhan's victory is a personal triumph, marking his fourth major win in international economics competitions. He previously won bronze at the Republican Economics and Finance Olympiad and the International Economics Olympiad in 2024. He also secured gold at the IEO-2025 in Azerbaijan and victory at the EFI Olympiad in Kazakhstan.
The EO-2025 saw over 100,000 applicants from around the world, with 128 top students from 28 countries competing in the final. Mukhtarhan outscored competitors from countries including the USA, Canada, China, and the Netherlands, taking first place overall.
