Kazakhstan's Ministry of Internal Affairs Meets with NGOs to Strengthen Law and Order Cooperation

A significant meeting took place at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan on October 6. The event, titled 'Law and Order – Foundation of a United Society: The Role of the Civic Sector', gathered representatives from non-governmental organizations and the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. The purpose was to discuss the role of the civil sector in maintaining law and order and fostering a united society.

The conference explored various aspects of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) and NGOs. Digital solutions were discussed, along with joint social initiatives aimed at enhancing public safety, preventing offenses, protecting citizens' rights, and countering crime. Representatives of civil society presented proposals for interaction with law enforcement agencies in these areas.

The meeting was a preparatory step for the XII Civil Forum of Kazakhstan, scheduled for October 15-16. This forum, themed 'Civil Society: Trust. Justice. Unity', will build on the discussions held at the meeting. Memorandums were signed, and thematic discussions were held to strengthen partnerships between state bodies and civil society institutions.

The meeting at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan was a step towards developing a constructive dialogue and formulating proposals for improving state policy in the social and human rights spheres. The event highlighted the importance of collaboration between the civil sector and law enforcement agencies in maintaining a united and secure society.
