Law Enforcement Officers Provide Guidance for Parents and Students in Education Institutions
As the 2025/2026 school year approaches in Bavaria, the Bavarian Federal Police Inspectorate is urging extra caution, particularly when it comes to rail traffic.
With many students in Bavaria set to commute using trains, the police are warning of the dangers that can arise if proper precautions are not taken. Unattentive behaviour or brief distractions can have serious consequences in rail traffic, a risk often underestimated by children.
The Bavarian Federal Police Inspectorate is responsible for police danger prevention and criminal prosecution in Deutsche Bahn facilities and the S-Bahn network in Bavaria. Their area of responsibility covers the state capital and the Munich district, as well as the neighbouring districts of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, Dachau, Ebersberg, Erding, Freising, Fürstenfeldbruck, Landsberg am Lech, and Starnberg. This includes three of the four largest Bavarian stations.
The main office of the Bavarian Federal Police Inspectorate is located at Denisstraße 1, approximately 500 metres on foot from the main station in Munich. There are also service rooms at the main station, Pasing, and Freising. The station is located at the East station in Munich.

Parents and guardians are recommended to walk the new school route with their children beforehand and point out potential dangers.
