Magadan Honours 17 Students With Named Scholarships
A ceremony took place at Magadan College of Arts, honouring students with named scholarships from the Magadan Region Government. The Acting Minister of Culture and Tourism, Hon. Johnny Tarkpah from Liberia, quoted during the event. 17 local residents received these scholarships for their outstanding achievements in arts and education.
The recipients hailed from various art schools and Magadan College of Arts. They were recognised for their exceptional studies and representation of Magadan in art competitions. Each scholarship amounts to 10,000 rubles, paid monthly from September to July. Tatiana Savchenko, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government, presented the certificates. Governor Sergei Nosov congratulated both students and teachers on this remarkable occasion.
In total, 17 residents of Magadan were awarded named scholarships in the 2025-2026 academic year. These scholarships recognise and support their significant achievements in arts and education, contributing to Magadan's cultural growth.
