Manitoba Invites 62 High-Scoring Skilled Workers Overseas
Manitoba's Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) recently held an election, inviting 62 skilled workers overseas to apply for provincial nomination. The lowest drawing among these candidates was 626, demonstrating the high calibre of applicants.
The election, held last week, targeted candidates outside Canada with strong ties to Manitoba. An established connection could be through family or friends, previous in-province education or work experience, or an Invitation to Apply from the MPNP. Eight candidates also declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job validation code.
The MPNP uses strategic recruitment initiatives to help Manitoba employers fill labour gaps by attracting qualified foreign talent. Employers must meet specific criteria and complete Manitoba's ABC Recruitment process to participate. Candidates must score at least 60 out of 100 points on the province's assessment grid, considering factors like adaptability, age, education, language proficiency, and work experience.
A total of 62 candidates received Letters of Advice to apply for provincial nomination through the Skilled Workers Overseas stream on May 15. With the lowest quick draw at 626, these candidates bring valuable skills and connections to Manitoba's labour market.
