Massive Job Event Organized: Youth fervor advocates arrange extensive career fair
Spontaneous Job Fairs in the Heart of Kostanay
Tired of the job hunt? Imagine stumbling upon your dream job in just one day, right smack in the city center, out in the open, surrounded by the country's largest employers! Well, that's exactly what happened in Kostanay. The city's central square turned into a bustling career fair, bringing together youth, graduates, and employers in a massive networking event.
This spectacular event was part of the "Jastarqa zhys" project by the AMANAT party, designed to help young people secure their place in the job market. Organized by the youth wing "Zhasar Rukhy," the regional youth resource center, and the Kostanay region's akimat, this event was nothing short of impressive.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared 2025 theYear of Working Professionals, highlighting their crucial role in the country's development. To aid youth in finding their footing in working professions, the state has been pulling out all the stops, and this job fair was a shining example of its efforts.
Over 90 organizations, ranging from state institutions to industrial enterprises in the region, took part in the fair. Notable participants included AО "Kazakhtelecom," AО "Otabasy Bank," AО "Kostanay Minerals," AО "SSGPO" (part of ERG), AО "KIA Qazaqstan," AО "Allur," AÖ "Bayan Suлу," several second-tier banks, and numerous other enterprises. There was even a dedicated block for contract services, particularly intriguing for aspiring military career seekers.
Career centers from all 20 regions of the area were also involved, letting attendees explore job opportunities not just in the regional center but also in their home villages – including through the "With a diploma to the village" program.
More than 1000 people, comprising students, the unemployed, and residents seeking new job opportunities, visited the fair. About 500 young people left with placement directions in hand.
Arujan Sarsenbayeva, head of the Kostanai branch of the youth wing "Zhasar Ruhy," highlighted that the region has been hosting such initiatives for over six years, providing employment opportunities to over 10,000 young people. For many participants, this fair was the first step in their professional journey. One such individual, Mansur Madiev, a graduate of Kostanai Polytechnic College, landed a traineeship offer from a manufacturing enterprise after discussing his dreams of production technologies with company representatives.
Since 2023, the youth wing "Zhasar Ruhy" has also been implementing the "Zhasar Zhol" project. While I couldn't find specific information on the number of job fairs held across Kazakhstan or attendance figures, it is known that over 30,000 young people have received job placement directions, and more than 5,000 memorandums have been signed with employers. Over the past two years, over 200 job fairs have been held across the country, attended by approximately 200,000 people. Additionally, around 30,000 young people have benefited from low-interest business development loans at 2.5%.
In the spirit of the Year of Working Professionals, the Job Fair in Kostanay, a significant event under the "Jastarqa zhys" project, offered a platform for education-and-self-development, career-development, and job-search opportunities. Over 90 organizations, including Kazakhtelecom, Otabasy Bank, and Kostanay Minerals, provided skills-training sessions and job placements, benefiting more than 1000 attendees and securing 500 job offers for young people.
