Neustrelitz Residents Can Now Legally Harvest Firewood With New Chainsaw Courses

Residents of Neustrelitz looking to harvest firewood legally can now obtain a chainsaw license through several courses offered in the coming months. Coursera at Leea and local forestry or vocational training centers are providing these courses, with the first one starting on 17./18.10.2025.

The 'small chainsaw courses' qualify participants to process wood up to 20 cm in diameter at chest height. Successful completion of the course allows felling 'light wood' and processing wood of all strengths. The course includes theoretical and safety aspects discussion on Friday and practical felling and processing on Saturday.

Courses are scheduled for 17./18.10.2025, 14./15.11.2025, 28./29.11.2025, and 19./20.12.2025. The organization offering these courses is likely Coursera at Leea.
