Nordhorn to Strengthen Children's Rights with 'Child-Friendly Communities' Commission Meeting
On October 2, 2025, Ingrid Müller and Thomas Berger will lead a commission meeting in Nordhorn, focusing on 'Child-Friendly Communities'. The event aims to strengthen children's and young people's rights in the city over the next three years.
The second steering group meeting for 'child-friendly municipalities' will take place from 4:30 to 6:00 PM in the large meeting room of the town hall. All Nordhorn people are invited to participate in shaping their community. The meeting will present initial results from the Nordhorn youth survey, providing valuable insights into the needs and wishes of the city's young residents.
Following the meeting, an 'on-site conversation' is scheduled for early November. This event will build on the outcomes of the steering group meeting and discuss concrete measures for an action plan to improve children's and young people's rights in Nordhorn.
The upcoming commission meeting and 'on-site conversation' in Nordhorn demonstrate the city's commitment to creating a people-friendly community. By involving young people and developing an action plan, Nordhorn aims to strengthen the rights and well-being of its children and young people.
