Northern Kentucky's Catholic High School Launches Robotics Program With $10K Grant
Northern Kentucky's Newport Central Catholic High School has received a $10,000 grant from the Northern Kentucky Chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE-NKY) to launch a robotics program. This marks the third year of such funding under the presidency of Caleb Claxton.
The robotics program, set to enhance STEM initiatives and student learning experiences, will be based in the newly opened Science Learning Center. This facility offers six learning environments and a college-like atmosphere, boasting views of the Ohio River Valley. Principal Kenny Collopy expressed gratitude for the NSPE-NKY's support, which also benefited Beechwood and Erlanger school districts this year. Despite searches, no information was found about the president of NSPE-NKY being involved in funding the robotics programs at Newport Central Catholic High School.
The $10,000 grant from NSPE-NKY will enable Newport Central Catholic High School to establish a robotics program, fostering STEM learning and student development. The program will operate from the state-of-the-art Science Learning Center, with the support of NSPE-NKY under Caleb Claxton's presidency.
