The RRB NTPC Question Paper 2025, conducted on the 7th of August, was divided into three shifts and covered sections from General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence & Reasoning. The paper was compiled based on student feedback and expert review.

Section-wise Breakdown

General Awareness

The General Awareness section predominantly focused on current affairs, general science, history, Indian polity, Indian geography, and miscellaneous topics. The most frequently asked topics included 6–7 questions on current affairs, 4–5 questions each on general science, history, Indian polity, and Indian geography. Other topics like books & authors, sports, important days, and miscellaneous appeared with fewer questions.

Mathematics

The Mathematics section included questions of moderate difficulty, covering topics like arithmetic, algebra, percentage, time & work, trigonometry, number system, and data interpretation.

General Intelligence & Reasoning

The General Intelligence & Reasoning section primarily focused on puzzles, seating arrangement, syllogism, coding-decoding, and analogies, with mostly easy to moderate level questions.

Difficulty Level and Attempts Insights

The difficulty level varied slightly across shifts. Shift 1 and Shift 3 had a moderate overall difficulty, while Shift 2 was moderately tough. Good attempts range in the 1st shift were between 75–83, with General Awareness ranging from 25–28, Mathematics from 22–25, and Reasoning from 28–30.

Preparation Hotspots

Given the above analysis, the hotspots for preparation across all shifts were current affairs, history, Indian polity, Indian geography in General Awareness; arithmetic-based questions in Mathematics; and puzzle and logic-based questions in Reasoning.

Availability of Question Papers

Although the RRB does not release official question papers publicly, the 7th August NTPC Question Paper is available for all three shifts. Each file includes the full question paper with answers and difficulty analysis for future NTPC exam candidates.
