The RRC Central Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2025 is now open, inviting applications for 2,418 apprentice posts across various trades. The recruitment process, eligibility criteria, application fee, and selection process are outlined below.
Application Process:
Interested candidates can apply online through the official RRC Central Railway website at rrccr.com. Click on the "Apprentice Recruitment 2025 Apply Online" link to begin. Register by entering basic details such as name, date of birth, contact information, and Aadhaar number. Complete the application form with educational qualifications, ITI trade details, and other relevant information. Upload scanned copies of required documents, including a colour photograph, signature, birth certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), and educational/ITI mark sheets. Pay the application fee online and submit the application form, retaining a printout for your reference.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible, candidates must have passed Class 10 with at least 50% marks from a recognized board. They must also possess a National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT). Candidates aged between 15 to 24 years as of August 12, 2025, are eligible to apply. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates applies.
Application Fee:
The application fee is Rs. 100/- (non-refundable) for all candidates except those exempted. No fee is charged for SC/ST/PwD/Women candidates. Payment modes include Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, SBI Challan, UPI, or Wallet payments.
Selection Process:
Selection is based on a merit list prepared for all candidates. The merit is calculated by averaging marks of Matriculation (10th class) percentage (minimum 50% required) and ITI marks in the relevant trade. The simple average of these two scores forms the basis for the merit panel.
Successful applicants will receive one year of training and a monthly stipend of ₹7,000. Candidates should ensure that all information is accurate before submission and keep a printed copy for future reference. The recruitment offers apprenticeships under the Apprentices Act, 1961, with placements in various Central Railway workshops based on trade and vacancy clusters.
