The Youth Education Institute of the University City of Giessen is set to launch an extensive Autumn-Winter program, filled with engaging events and educational opportunities for young people. The institute's offerings aim to provide a platform for new experiences, learning, and social interaction.

A key component of this program is the Juleica training, designed to be part of the institute's ongoing initiatives. This training is just one example of the new and proven further training events available for employees and volunteers in children and youth work.

One such event is the three-day course, "City Bound - Experience Pedagogy in the City," which invites participants to delve into urban education in a unique and immersive way.

For those interested in exploring the Danish capital, Copenhagen, the institute offers the educational leave program, "More action, less talk! - Green City Copenhagen." This program is open to young trainees, workers, students, and other interested parties up to the age of 26.

The institute's events also cater to personal development, with offerings such as self-assertion workshops for both girls and boys, and training in areas like addiction and violence prevention, sexual education, and democracy promotion.

The program is not limited to traditional educational settings. It includes hands-on activities like football seminars, pottery, 3D printing, top rope climbing, screen printing, studio recording, and even municipal election 2026 preparations.

The event series, "Remember, warn, be vigilant," plays a significant role in the program. It includes readings like "The boy with the mouth harmonica: From the ghetto Theresienstadt by train to freedom," and information events such as "TikTok and anti-semitism." The series also includes city walks like "Historical everyday traces of Jews and Jews in Giessen."

For those seeking professional development, the institute offers courses like "Media Counseling in Child and Youth Services/Educational Assistance," and the professional educational leave, "Leadership and Management in Social Institutions."

City Councilor Frau Weigel-Greilich has emphasized the benefits of the Youth Education Institute's programs, praising their ability to provide valuable learning experiences for young people.

Music enthusiasts will be pleased to know that "Music on TikTok" is part of the further training program. All offers from the Youth Education Institute are low-cost to free, making them accessible to a wide range of participants.

Further information, registration, and questions about the program can be found on the Youth Education Institute's website at www.jbw-our website. The program becomes available online from August 18, 2025.
