Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has launched an application process for African startups to participate in the Gitex Global and North Star Pitch Competition. This event offers a fully-funded trip for the winner to attend the competition in Dubai, offering them exposure to global investors and mentors.

Interested startups are urged to apply promptly, as the deadline for applications is May 10, 2022. The North Star and Gitex Global teams are embarking on a tour across Africa to identify the most promising startups in each African nation. They plan to highlight the national winners in front of global investors, partners, and media at North Star in Dubai from October 10-13, 2022.

As part of the selection process for West Africa, the team will connect with startups within the Ghanaian ecosystem by May 13, 2022. The pitch event in Accra will also feature key discussions on business opportunities in Dubai and linking with the African ecosystem.
