PM Modi Inaugurates New Skill Centre in Gadchiroli for Tractor, Farm Machinery Training
Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated a new Skill Development Centre in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The centre, established by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. in partnership with the government, focuses on equipping local youth with industry-ready skills in tractor and farm machinery.
The initiative aligns with the nation's focus on skill development, aiming to harness India's demographic dividend. Mahindra Tractors set up the centre with the involvement of the Maharashtra government and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). It provides access to modern technical equipment and hands-on experience in tractor-related skills.
Veejay Nakra, President of Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Business, expressed pride in partnering with the Government of Maharashtra for this initiative. The centre aims to empower rural youth by equipping them with industry-relevant skills for employment in the region. Mahindra & Mahindra's Farm Equipment Business recently recorded a 50% YoY growth in domestic tractor sales for September 2025.
The new centre in Gadchiroli is set to play a significant role in empowering local youth with industry-ready skills. With Mahindra & Mahindra's commitment and the government's support, the centre promises to create employment opportunities and boost the region's economy.
