Astana's "Comfortable School" project is transforming the city's landscape, going beyond just being an educational institution. This ambitious initiative ensures safety, convenience, and equal access to quality education for thousands of children, addressing the pressure on social infrastructure caused by rapid urban population growth.

The project, overseen by AO "Samruk-Kazyna Construction", has already seen the commissioning of 104 schools last year, with another 104 currently in the works. The schools within this project boast modern planning, vibrant and aesthetically pleasing facades, advanced equipment, and thoughtful infrastructure.

Key features of these schools include wide corridors, workshops, STEM labs, robotics, up to four sports halls, interactive boards in every classroom, and an inclusive environment for children with special educational needs. The schools' area is 20% larger than typical ones, providing ample space for students and staff.

Abdukerim Arshamov, the Director of the capital's division of AO "Samruk-Kazyna Construction", emphasised the importance of addressing the lack of schools and kindergartens in Astana. He believes that a school is an investment in the future and that a strong country must start with quality education.

The "Comfortable School" project also separates blocks for younger and older students to enhance safety. The technical equipment within the project is 4 times better than typical schools, ensuring a superior learning environment.

The project aligns with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s vision that schools must be secure and conducive to learning. It is part of a broader push to upgrade educational infrastructure with modern design codes, increased security, and subject-specific classrooms being supplied to schools nationwide, including Astana.

Additional social support infrastructure such as student dormitories is also being developed in Astana to support education access, complementing school capacity expansion efforts.

The "Comfortable School" project directly responds to challenges posed by demographic growth and urban development in Astana by expanding and modernizing school infrastructure, thus easing pressure on the city's social services and fostering better educational outcomes.

In summary, the "Comfortable School" project is revolutionizing school infrastructure nationwide, ensuring a brighter future for Kazakhstan's children by providing them with safe, modern, and comfortable educational environments that meet increasing student demand.

This project, known as "Comfortable School," not only focuses on providing quality education but also encourages self-development and learning for thousands of children in Astana. By offering modern facilities, advanced equipment, and a conducive learning environment, the project aims to foster a strong nation through quality education.
