Recklinghausen Police Launch 'AnsprechBAR' to Engage Youth on Online Dangers and Violence

Recklinghausen police are launching a new initiative, 'AnsprechBAR - die Polizei informiert', to engage young people in crucial conversations about online dangers, knife violence, radicalization, and civil courage. The event series, starting on September 18, 2025, will visit schools across Recklinghausen and Bottrop until early October.

The 'AnsprechBAR' series aims to enlighten young people about digital crime, prevent violence and radicalization, promote media literacy, and build trust with the police. The police will use an Airstream trailer and interactive formats to create a relaxed atmosphere and evoke emotions. The event will kick off at the Paul-Spiegel-Berufskolleg in Dorsten and then visit the following schools:

  • Schulzentrum Haltern am See (Sept 19)
  • Willy-Brandt-Gesamtschule Marl (Sept 22)
  • Berufskolleg Bottrop (Sept 23)
  • Erich-Fried-Hauptschule and Erich-Kästner-Realschule Gladbeck (Sept 24)
  • Comenius-Gymnasium Datteln (Sept 25)
  • Willy-Brandt-Gesamtschule Castrop-Rauxel (Sept 26)
  • Paul-Gerhardt-Schule Oer-Erkenschwick (Sept 29)
  • Städtisches Gymnasium Herten (Sept 30)
  • Freiherr-vom-Stein-Gymnasium Recklinghausen (Oct 1)
  • Städtische Realschule Waltrop (Oct 2).
