Free E-bike Block Seminar Offered by Police Lippe in September
The Police Lippe is pleased to announce a free E-bike block seminar taking place in September 2025. The seminar, which has been offered since spring 2025, is designed to educate E-bike riders on safe riding practices and traffic regulations.
Dr. Laura Merks, the press spokeswoman for the Police Lippe, handles communications and public relations for the police authority. She stated, "Our aim is to ensure the safety of all road users, and this seminar is a great opportunity for E-bike riders to learn about the essentials of safe and traffic-friendly riding."
The seminar will span over two days, with Part 1 on 03.09.2025 and Part 2 on 11.09.2025. The theoretical introduction will cover the requirements for a traffic-safe bicycle, the importance of wearing a bicycle helmet, and the importance of visibility in traffic. Participants will also learn basic riding techniques such as the correct way to mount and dismount, and safe braking.
Practical exercises in a set-up course will follow the theoretical part. The second session of the course will focus on a joint group ride. Participants are required to bring their own E-bike and helmet.
Problematic traffic situations in the area will be specifically ridden to discuss the correct behavior on an E-bike in traffic. The seminar will take place at the police station in Waldweg 20, 32760 Detmold.
