The United Russia party, a dominant political force in Russia often associated with President Vladimir Putin and his administration, has launched a nationwide campaign aimed at supporting education and children ahead of the new academic year. Known as the "Gather a Child for School" campaign, the initiative is designed to provide targeted support to children from disadvantaged backgrounds and children of Special Operation participants.

The campaign, which is being conducted across the country, is part of broader efforts to support Russian families and promote educational development. United Russia is working with entrepreneurs and regional residents to ensure that children in need have the necessary school supplies for the new academic year.

Attention is also being paid to the quality of the educational environment, with the collection of all necessary items for school being organized in all regions. Aлена Arshinova, the coordinator of the "New School" party project and State Duma deputy, will assess the readiness of educational institutions for the new academic year, evaluating construction and repair work, dining halls, school territories, and sports facilities.

Parents are actively participating in the "Parental Acceptance" initiative, checking preparations for the Knowledge Day, a significant event marking the start of the new academic year. Around 15-16 thousand parents are involved in this initiative.

Applications for assistance in obtaining school supplies can be submitted until September 1, either via the United Russia's website or regional executive committees and public reception offices. Last year, around 287,000 students received support for the Knowledge Day, with the active participation of United Russia's deputies, entrepreneurs, and regional residents.

Konstantin Lishtratov, political consultant and director of the Center for Public and Political Projects, believes that United Russia consistently takes on the task of ensuring that children from the most vulnerable categories have everything they need for their studies. Vladimir Yakushev, the General Council Secretary of United Russia, stated that assistance in preparing for the new academic year is never unnecessary for large and low-income families, as well as families in difficult life situations.

Targeted support is available for children with disabilities, those from large, low-income families, children of Special Operation participants, and young residents of new Russian subjects. Special attention is being given to assessing the readiness of educational institutions for the new academic year, ensuring a smooth transition for all students.

The "Gather a Child for School" campaign, an initiative by United Russia, is extending its efforts beyond education towards broader support for Russian families and self-development, collaborating with entrepreneurs and residents to ensure underprivileged students have school supplies. United Russia's focus remains on providing targeted aid, especially for children with disabilities, large families, children of Special Operation participants, and children of new Russian regions, ensuring a smooth educational transition for all.
