The Addeco Group Foundation Collaborates with the International Committee of the Red Cross to Aid Individuals Impacted by Armed Strife

The Our Group Foundation, a leading Fortune Global 500 company headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, has announced a partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to support and expand the ICRC's Physical Rehabilitation Programme (PRP).

The Our Group, which operates in over 60 countries and employs more than 33,000 people worldwide, is committed to making the future work for everyone. This commitment is evident in their focus on increasing the work-readiness of underserved populations, including youth, people in transition, and mature workers.

The PRP, a programme that uses sport to enable the rehabilitation and social inclusion of people with an impairment, aims to complement physical and mental progress with career counselling and labour market inclusion. The PRP is already underway in countries including India, Thailand, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Gaza, and has ambitions to expand to other territories.

The collaboration between the Our Group Foundation and the ICRC's Corporate Support Group is particularly focusing on supporting and enhancing the PRP. This partnership will involve training staff and providing resources to improve healthcare services linked to physical rehabilitation.

The ICRC, an organisation that helps people affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence, providing essential services such as food, water, healthcare, and family reunification, widely engages in supporting rehabilitation and health programmes globally. The Canadian Red Cross, which is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, works on healthcare needs for vulnerable populations, which often includes physical rehabilitation services.

The Our Group Foundation, with its history of work with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), helping elite athletes prepare for life beyond sports, will bring its expertise in training, employment, and skills to accelerate the impact and increase the reach of the PRP. The Foundation operates as a social innovation lab, scoping, designing, and testing new employment models.

Through this partnership, the Our Group Foundation aims to help people with physical disabilities be active and contributing members of society. The partnership is expected to develop in the years ahead to tackle other issues.

The Our Group is a publicly traded company listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange (ADEN) and serves over 100,000 organizations with HR services and technology. This collaboration marks a significant step in the Our Group's mission to create a more inclusive and equitable world.

  1. The Our Group Foundation, with its focus on education-and-self-development and personal-growth, aims to collaborate with the ICRC's PRP to widen the global workforce solutions, providing training, employment, and skills to people with physical disabilities.
  2. This partnership, extending to general-news topics such as politics and war-and-conflicts, reflects the Our Group's commitment to creating a more inclusive and equitable society, benefiting both the rehabilitated individuals and the communities in which they live.
  3. The Our Group Foundation's involvement in the ICRC's PRP will not only contribute to the career counselling and labour market inclusion of the participants but also align with their previous initiatives, such as their work with the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
  4. As part of their ongoing mission to make the future work for everyone, the Our Group Foundation will leverage learning opportunities provided by international partnerships to drive positive change in the global workforce landscape.
