Tracey Horton AO Named Incoming Chair of IDP Education
Tracey Horton AO has been named as the incoming Chair of IDP Education Limited, succeeding retiring Chair Peter Polson. Horton, who is currently a Non-Executive Director of IDP, will take up the new role on 16 June.
Horton brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously served as Chair of the Australian Industry and Skills Committee and Dean of the University of Western Australia's Business School from 2004 to 2011. She has also held the Chair position at Navitas and was an expert member on the Council for International Education from 2016 to 2019.
Currently, Horton serves as a Non-Executive Director for several companies, including GPT Group Limited, IMDEX Limited, and Bhagwan Marine Ltd. She was appointed as a non-executive director of the GPT Group Limited in 2021, becoming the second Western Australia-based director in the company.
Horton will replace Peter Polson, who was appointed IDP Chair in 2007 and announced his retirement at the AGM in October 2022. Horton thanked the outgoing Chair and expressed confidence in IDP's future as she looks forward to her new role as Chair of IDP Education Limited.
