Tree Planting and Flower Bulb Sowing Event, alongside an Environmental Workshop, set for 17th March 2025 in Biała Podlaska
In the picturesque town of Biała Podlaska, an environmental workshop titled 'Facts and Myths about Biodiversity' was held on 17 March, attracting pupils from Primary School No. 2. The event aimed to introduce students to the topic of biodiversity and its crucial role in nature.
The workshop began with a captivating session on the definition of biodiversity, followed by discussions on the endangerment of biodiversity and the misconception that bees are the only pollinating insects. The students' commitment to the topic was evident, as they demonstrated knowledge of ecological challenges and methods to support wildlife in urban environments.
To reinforce the learning, an ecological quiz was concluded, sparking new curiosities among the students. The workshop also included the planting of 100 ash tree seedlings and 500 flower bulbs, providing a practical demonstration of the students' collective effort towards nature conservation.
Additionally, seeds were donated for sowing when more favorable weather arrives. Although no further information about the distribution or use of the seeds was provided, the gesture served as a reminder of the students' ongoing role in preserving biodiversity.
The environmental event in Biała Podlaska highlighted the role of biodiversity in nature and aimed to inspire the students to become active participants in nature conservation. The workshop served as a testament to the power of practical environmental education programs in fostering an understanding of biodiversity and encouraging youth participation in conservation efforts.
