Turkey boosts financial aid for young couples getting married

The "Marriage Support Project for Young People," a government initiative under the Family and Youth Fund, has seen a significant growth in participation, with over 1,000 local businesses and 39 national businesses now offering discounts on wedding-related products and services[1].

The project, launched last year, aims to strengthen and support the family institution, protect young people from social risks, and contribute to their personal development[1]. It offers exclusive discounts, ranging from 10% to 35%, to eligible young couples who are beneficiaries of the Family and Youth Fund[1].

These discounts can be availed by obtaining a special discount code via the e-Government system[1]. The project also includes additional supports such as interest-free loans of up to TL 150,000 ($3,688.66), repayable over 48 months with a two-year grace period[1].

Moreover, pre- and post-marriage training is provided by experts at Provincial Directorates of Family and Social Services and Social Service Centers[1]. This training is designed to offer guidance and support to young couples as they navigate their marital journey.

On April 30, cooperation protocols were signed between the Ministry and participating businesses to provide further advantages for project beneficiaries[1]. The expansion of the project indicates a broader availability of discounts to young couples preparing for marriage under this fund and project[1].

The "Marriage Support Project for Young People" is intended to support young couples financially and provide them with expert guidance[1]. It is part of the government's efforts to protect young people from social risks and contributes to their personal development[1].
