Tribhuvan University Service Commission Announces Job Openings

The Tribhuvan University Service Commission (TUSC) has published a notice for various employee posts, including administrative and technical roles, promotions, and permanent positions. The notice is in accordance with the Tribhuvan University Teachers and Employees Service Rules 2050, the Federal Civil Service Act, and a writ order issued by the Honorable Supreme Court on Writ No. 078-WO-0660.

The application process is available online on the TU Service Commission website (www.tusc.tu.edu.np) and runs from 2081/10/23 to 2081/11/17 by 12:00 PM. Applicants are advised to submit their applications within this timeframe, as late submissions will incur double the fee.

For administrative and technical posts, the application fee is NPR 3,500 for Officer Special, NPR 3,200 for Officer First, and NPR 3,000 for Officer Second. For inclusive groups, an additional 20% fee must be paid for each additional group. It is important to note that the application fee is non-refundable once paid.

The Regulations on Recommendation of Appointment and Promotion of Employees, 2073 (with amendments up to 20 Mangsir 20, 2081) apply to these applicants. These regulations can be found on the Commission's website.

Eligibility criteria vary depending on the position. Generally, candidates must meet academic qualifications, pay application fees, and submit applications within specified deadlines. For faculty posts, candidates must have a Master's degree in the related subject, and for higher posts, a PhD or equivalent recognized degrees such as Doctorate in Medicine (DM) or Master of Surgery (MCh) are required.

Candidates are also required to have strong research credentials for higher or research-based positions. They must have published at least one paper as primary author in journals indexed by Nature Index or SCImago Journal Ranking Q3/Q2/Q1, and their recent (within 10 years) quality research will be evaluated.

The selection process involves written exams, practicals, evaluations, and interviews, determined by TUSC. Assistant Professors are mainly selected via open competition.

Candidates must fill out and submit application forms online or physically at the TUSC office in Kirtipur with required documents such as transcripts, equivalence certificates, and bank vouchers for the fee.

It is important to note that only applications following the procedure will be considered. For more detailed information, forms, and notices, candidates are advised to visit the TUSC website.

For promotions based on performance, seniority, and participation in internal competition, only employees working permanently in a post one grade below the post to be promoted in the concerned service group for at least 5 years are eligible. The number of posts determined for inclusive groups is included in the advertisement notice.

Official and detailed information, forms, and notices are available on the TU Service Commission website (tusc.tu.edu.np). Always verify deadlines and eligibility with the latest official TUSC announcements.
