In a recent update, Timur Muhamedjavon, head of the Department of Urban Development in the Tomsk Region, disclosed that the city has penned 11 KRT agreements as of April 2025. These plans encompass residential development and kindergarten construction projects on Aerodromnaya and Vodiana streets, according to Muhanmedjavon.
Previously announced, nine KRT agreements for microdistrict development were underway in the Tomsk Region. By February 2025, the list of designated areas had expanded by an additional two locations.
"Currently, KRT boasts 11 sealed contracts, collectively spanning a development area of 46 hectares with a potential build-out of 390,000 square meters," Muhanmedjavon revealed.
He further clarified that these agreements extend beyond residential construction, encompassing the design of nine kindergartens, four schools, one kindergarten and two healthcare facilities, as well as internal transportation infrastructure maintenance and associated resettlement expenses expected to surpass 600 million rubles. The resettlement plan calls for the relocation of 28 multi-unit buildings, providing 161 apartments spanning 5,100 square meters.

Regional KRT legislation became law towards the end of 2021, aiming to foster growth in areas containing dilapidated buildings and undeveloped land.
