Strengthening the Workforce in Middle Franconia: IHK's Dual Education System
The Industry and Commerce Chamber (IHK) Nuremberg for Middle Franconia has emphasised the importance of dual education as the foundation for a professional career, particularly in the region's thriving industrial and manufacturing sector. This system, which combines apprenticeships in companies with part-time vocational schooling, is crucial in bridging practical vocational training and theoretical education.
Over 18,000 trainees are currently undergoing training in around 4,000 companies in Middle Franconia, a testament to the system's popularity and effectiveness. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application in companies is a key aspect of the IHK's training programs in Middle Franconia. This approach ensures that apprentices are closely aligned with the needs of local businesses, facilitating effective transitions from education to employment.

Recently, the IHK Nuremberg for Middle Franconia organised a certificate presentation event at the Fürth City Hall, where approximately 310 graduates of various commercial professions received their certificates. The graduates included bank clerks, industrial clerks, office management clerks, e-commerce specialists, and wholesale and export management clerks.
Mayor Markus Braun and District Administrator Bernd Obst expressed their joy over the new skilled workers and emphasised their hope that the graduates would continue their careers in the region. The IHK honoured the graduates for their achievements and presented scholarships from the Luise-Erhard-Fonds to selected former students for the continuation of their academic careers.
